The Beaumont Unified School District Facilities Planning Department is responsible for ensuring school sites are prepared to accommodate the needs of the growing student population.

 

The department monitors and analyses new developments, demographic trends, and assesses enrollment capacity. Additionally, the department oversees the planning, design, and construction of new school facilities as well as the modernization of existing buildings and land acquisition for new schools.

 

The department's responsibilities include, but are not limited to––

  • Monitoring new developments and collecting fees
  • Supporting the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
  • Assessing and recommending attendance boundaries
  • Acquiring land acquisitions for new schools
  • Monitoring school enrollment capacity and site utilization
  • Designing, planning, constructing, and modernizing schools
  • Managing facility use requests
  • Updating the District’s facility master plan
